Stamford Partnership Program Manager Julia Wade was among those honored at the Yerwood Center’s first annual Hearts’ Ball to recognize the recipients contributions in the areas of community service, law enforcement, education, medicine and theater arts.

UConn Upals Program

UConn Stamford University PalsTargeting middle school students who will be the first in their families to attend college, the University Pals program developed by former board member Dr. Michael Ego has enjoyed widespread community support since its inception. Kathleen Walsh is among several board members offering electives to its incoming students and “alumni” returning for enrichment programs each summer.  



Big Apple Circus is Coming to Town!

The City of Stamford, Downtown Special Services District and Mill River Collaborate are delighted to bring the world-famous Big Apple Circus to Stamford Downtown for the very first time. For three weeks beginning July 9th, with the Circus Gala, the Circus will make its home in Mill River Park, in the very heart of Stamford Downtown.

New Center for Stamford's New Immigrants

Convened by the Partnership, Stamford's leaders in the corporate, nonprofit, educational and  faith communities are developing plans to introduce a new immigrant center in Stamford based on the award winning  Neighbors Link Mount Kisco model. The center will accelerate and integrate recent immigrants into the economy and the community by helping them gain self-sufficiency through language, job and other skills training. 2010 Census

As Chair of Stamford's Complete Count Committee for the 2010 Census, the Partnership is working to ensure an accurate count so the city gets its fair share of allocations based on Census data.

The goal is a resilient, thriving city that pulses as a magnet for talent, a center for innovation and a model of green values where both families and single people want to live and work.
